OUR BEACH: BAN
TAI
Our center
stands on the Ban Tai beach: it is a really calm and relaxing
beach, protected by the reef and it is possible to walk along it
for hours without being disturbed. It is easy to meet people
sitting for meditation or practicing yoga or exercises, or even
jogging or running.
We can dare to say that our beach is a meditative place or, at
least, an incitement to adopt and embrace a new way of living,
for sure healthier than the one we have setup for ourselves by
living in a city or in a frantic and perverted world.
Here the exuberant nature around us gives us the right rhythm,
making us more sensitive to it and reminding us that it is worth
nourishing the spirit too, just tasting the beauty that surrounds
us, in the marvelous sunsets or in some picturesque amusing
incidents which give us the sensation that time has
stopped!
In front of our beach there is Koh Pha Ngan isle, famous for its
“Full Moon Parties”.

On the left
the Natural Marine Park can be seen: a protected natural reserve
full of several kinds of breed of fish and other aquatic
creatures.
According to those who love this place, here everything is
inspiring and comforting and leads to creativity.
It is said that very intense and positive energetic lines pass
just through this beach, very near to us: if this is real, it is
easy to understand how they can influence the place.
Ban Tai – called “the lovers’ beach” or
“the nature lovers’ beach” – is near
Nathon. Ban Tai is a little village with few shops but it is
possible to find many charming little restaurants where you can
eat fresh fish and other Thai specialties cheaply.
Not far away – in Maenam – there are several kinds of
restaurants.
Our village, and the neighbouring one too, are quite fitted out
for hospitality: there is lodging for any pocket: bungalows (of
different categories), but hotels too (including five-stars
hotels) and little houses with kitchens.
The cost of living is cheaper than in Europe and life is easier
because everything is easier.
Living together with Thai people is pleasant because they are
easygoing and accept strangers with their extravagances. Being a
touristic place, there is much tolerance in Koh
Samui.

Long list of Hotels and Villages
in Koh Samui.
WHAT CAN BE SEEN ON THE
ISLE
There are several
interesting places to see on the isle.
There is the BIG BUDDHA for example: a huge statue, which
represent a meditative sitting Buddha, placed in a beautiful
temple dedicated to him. The temples overlooks the sea and the
little isles scattered around. This is a devotee and tourist
destination.

There are
the GRAND FATHER and the GRAND MOTHER: two big rocks on the
Chaweng beach – almost two stacks – that are male and
female genitals – shaped. They are placed one in front of
the other.

There is the
NATIONAL MARINE PARK and its beautiful landscape.
There is the
BUTTERFLY GARDEN: a botanical garden where an incredible variety
of butterflies live.
There are three types of waterfalls, with unexpected little lakes
where it is possible to refresh oneself and forget the whole
world.
To appreciate directly the local habits and tastes you can go and
do some shopping at the markets that are scattered
everywhere.

There is the
MAGIC GARDEN, inspired by the divine to an old man.
It is possible to see the little temple of the Mummy Monk, or
several less known temples.
There are lovely lookouts where you can have a panoramic sight of
the isle and its environs, including even Koh Tao, the most
distant isle.
There is a little NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM and a nice
AQUARIUM
There is the possibility to see other isles that are nearer: Koh
Pha Ngan, Koh Tao and Koh Taen.
Koh Pha Ngan is famous for its all night long FULL MOON PARTIES
on the beach.
The same thing happens at the Secret Garden on Koh Samui.
Koh Tao (the turtle isle) is famous for its natural beauty:
extravagant sculpture shaped rocks.
Koh Taen boasts a cultivated pearls breeding ground, where it is
possible to do some shopping at reasonable
prices.
WHAT TO
DO
There
are many activities and experiences to participate in Koh Samui,
from meditations with monks in some of the temples, on to the
night live.
From different types of sport, Thai cooking classes or fruit and
vegetable carving to other types of entertainment, like: safari,
horse-riding, survival training, go cart racing, bowling, dancing
in a choise of discotheques.
One can also attend to a variety of shows or life music
entertainment.
But while staying at the beach , under the pleasant shade of
coconut trees, with the inviting ocean just one step ahead (and
eventually with a refreshing drink at ones side), people feel so
good, that many don't even move from these delight places, as it
takes too much effort, going to the city
traffic...!
